One of the top tools Realtors can use to stay connected with potential future clients and past customers is by mass sending emails via their Top Producer program. However, in recent weeks, many Realtors have noticed that emails sent from Top Producer to Yahoo and AOL addresses are being bounced back as undeliverable.
As it turns out, the email address in your database for the Yahoo and AOL users are most likely correct. The reason for the bounce back has to do with new security measures that Yahoo and AOL have adopted this year. This new security setting believes all Top Producer emails to be spam and/or dangerous. It then blocks the emails from ever getting delivered to their customer’s inbox. The emails don’t even reach the receivers’ Yahoo and AOL spam boxes, but rather are completely blocked, causing the sender’s inbox to be filled with numerous MAILER DAEMON notices.
Our team at REVStaffing has spent a great deal of time working with the support group of Top Producer. There is a workaround solution that will allow your emails from Top Producer to reach the inbox of any legitimate Yahoo or AOL email address.
The solution involves contacting the email provider used by the Realtor in his/her Top Producer. (For example, if the Top Producer-sent emails have a return address of SallySmith@KW.com, then the email support team at KW.com would have to be contacted.) The email provider will have to create an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record, allowing 11 particular IP addresses to be added. The creation of this SPF record will let Yahoo and AOL know that the messages being sent from an agent’s Top Producer account are not dangerous and will allow them to get past their new security measures.
