<\/a>If you work regularly with Microsoft Publisher, you’ve probably got a keen interest in learning as many tips and tricks possible to make that work easier. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nAt REVStaffing<\/a>, we work constantly to give you a significantly unfair advantage over your competition. Sometimes this means we become your personal ‘CliffsNotes’ to abbreviate the learning curve. Remember, we never want you to fall victim to the oxymoron, “Computers make very fast, very accurate mistakes.” Read on for some savvy tips that will help you to realize more value for your MS Publisher time (and money!).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Group Objects<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Grouping objects in Publisher is useful when you’re installing a collection of objects that you would like to appear alongside each other. Here’s how:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Choose all by clicking on each object sequentially while holding down the Shift key. Keeping the Shift key depressed allows you to group the objects together. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Click the Group Objects key that will be visible on the foot of selection. You may also separate grouped objects by highlighting the group, then clicking the Ungroup Objects button.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Retaining an Object\u2019s Center<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If you wish to retain the center of an object even when you alter the dimensions of that object:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Click on the item and press Control key during resizing of your object. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Then release the mouse button prior to releasing the Control key.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Nudge Objects<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n You can use the Nudge command to position a graphic in Microsoft Publisher without resorting to the mouse. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Select the object, then click Next, Arrange and then Nudge Objects. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Now type in the size and direction in which you wish to shift the image. You may move an image as much as 2 inches, points and picas. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n It is possible to also move an image incremented by pixels. To do this, Select the object and press the arrow key while depressing the Alt key to shift the item in a specific path one pixel at a time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n These are just a few noteworthy tips we’ve gathered for our clients.
